Arrival? Success!

We are here, and the ParkView Hotel is even more Western than I had feared as evidenced by the bathrobes hanging in the closet and the prices listed on the laundry sheet. There's even a friggin' blow dryer in the bathroom! I know--that does not mean I have to use it.

Getting here had its moments and continues to provide its own perverse entertainment. The rash on my back--an allergic reaction to something I ate on one of yesterday's planes, I expect--is fading, and the hydrocortisone cream I added to the first aid kit is making the itching feeling bearable.

When I have downloaded the photos from the trip here along with any I take on the in-search-of-an-ATM walk we're about to take, I'll do a proper post. In the meantime, know that we arrived safely.
